The Norwegian word for Christmas comes from the old Norse word, "jol" or "jolablot". Back in the day, it was the holiday when the Vikings celebrated candlelight mass, midwinter, which falls in the time after the winter solstice.
Today we celebrate midwinter with this handmade aquavit with arctic mulberry and lingonberries. Bivrost Jolablot Aquavit is matured in sherry casks and stored for a year in old Nato bunkers in Norway.

This 100% agave Tequila from Ocho was made by co-founder and master distiller, Carlos Camarena, a fifth generation agave farmer and third generation tequilero, for the brand co-created by late Tequila legend Tomas Estes. In ancient Norse times, the Vikings celebrated solstice by making blots (or offerings). The feast of summer was called Midsumarblót.
The blót was commonly celebrated throughout the middle of June and sometimes lasted until July 1. We celebrate midsummer with this handcrafted Aquavit, made of Dillseed and fresh Dill, Lemon peels, raspberry, a pinch of salt and a slight infusion of our Arctic Gin – just to round it off.
